In addition to certification programs for all levels of diving, Bill offer’s daily rates designed to focus on developing areas of diver competency specific to the clients needs and personal goals. These are customized one-on-one programs where Bill take’s your diving to a whole new level of confidence and comfort.
Quite often the needs of the diver are overshadowed by the rigidity of dive standards and the minimum requirements to complete a ‘training course’. Additionally, much of the instruction available to divers today is impersonal and delivered by inexperienced instructors following a generalized script. This is NOT how one should be taught to dive life support equipment.
Bill’s approach goes beyond ‘minimum standards’ and coaches divers by assessing what areas of development best suit the client in order to achieve the best possible results. This methodology facilitates a more complete learning experience leading to competent, confident and safe divers. ​
Bill’s personalized teaching style allows him to cater to the individual needs of his clients, ensuring they receive tailored guidance based on their experience level. His focus on safety and thorough understanding of complex diving environments, such as Rebreathers, caves and mixed-gasses, positions him as a reliable and knowledgeable coach.
Over the decades Bill has applied his academic and practical marine and diving science-based skills and the unique skill set developed as a police officer and a CCG Dive Rescue Specialist to provide enhanced services as a marine incident investigator and subject matter expert for diving related accidents, the Canada Shipping Act and Criminal Code marine related legislation. He has provided testimony as an subject matter expert in all levels of court successfully defending his evidence, demonstrating a thorough and competent understanding of diving law, liability and the elements of negligence. These are critical skill sets when developing professionals in the diving industry. Bill maintains international gold standard accreditations in accident analysis, risk management and his passion for integrating pioneering philosophies have led him to completing a Master's degree in Leadership.
